Smart cutting keeps text readable

Cut naively at a fixed height and you will regularly slice straight through a line of text or the middle of a chat bubble, leaving half a sentence at the bottom of one page and half at the top of the next. This tool avoids that. Before it slices, it scans the image row by row and measures how much detail each horizontal line contains, so it can tell dense rows of text apart from the blank gaps between paragraphs and messages.
When a page is full, it searches a small window near the ideal break point for the quietest row — a gap between messages, a margin between paragraphs, a band of empty background — and cuts there instead. The result is pages that break at natural boundaries, the way a well-typeset document would. An optional overlap can repeat a thin strip across the boundary for extra safety, and you can turn smart cutting off for a strict fixed-height split if you prefer.

Why not just print the screenshot directly?
A tall screenshot printed as-is either shrinks to an unreadable strip on one page or gets cut arbitrarily by the printer — often straight through a line of text. This tool paginates it properly: the content is laid out at a readable width and split across full pages at sensible break points.
What does 'smart cut' do?
Before slicing, the tool measures how busy each horizontal row of the image is. When it needs to end a page, it looks for a nearby blank or near-blank row — the gap between messages or paragraphs — and cuts there, so a line of text is never sliced in half across two pages.
Can I combine several screenshots into one PDF?
Yes. Add multiple images and they are stacked top to bottom, scaled to a common width, and paginated together into a single PDF — handy for a long conversation captured in several screenshots.
What's the overlap setting for?
Overlap repeats a thin strip of the previous page at the top of the next one, so if a cut lands awkwardly you still have context across the boundary. Set it to zero for clean, non-repeating pages, or add a few pixels for safety.
